Dear Members, dear All,

Temperatures are rising, the city is getting hot and sticky. And though lazing by the pool is indeed tempting and refreshing too, sometimes an interesting event is just what we need... Luckily, the BCT has some activities in the pipeline for you.
Before you enjoy Songkran in the most typical - and wet - Thai way, we invite you to two ‘Belgian' events. First, on 28 March there is the BCT Easter Egg Hunt in Bangkok's biggest park. Two weeks later we will hold an evening with Belgian food, drinks and music... In this newsletter you will also find out about the next Get Togethers and other future plans. What you will not find in this brief newsletter, is an account of past events, or the result of the logo contest. However, very soon you will read all about these in a new issue of Kramiek! LOGO CONTEST - THE CHOICE WAS UP TO YOU

The deadline for choosing your favourite logos is reached, the votes are counted... But we keep you waiting still... for the next Kramiek! There you will read which logos seem to be the most popular! We can already tell you that it was a very tight race between two potential logos.

However, only one can be the BCT logo...

Yes, hot or not, we are ready for a new range of events. Who is joining us?

EASTER EGG HUNT

This year, the BCT celebrates Easter with a casual family pick nick gathering. We organize a potluck brunch, and will hunt for eggs. And as we meet at the play ground of Bangkok's biggest park, we are sure that all kids can have a fun filled morning!

We ask each family to bring their plates and cutlery.When you enroll, someone from the committee will get in touch with you, so we can arrange a real buffet pick nick. For the chocolate eggs we ask a contribution of 60 THB per person.

CARBONADES FLAMANDES / STOOFVLEES DINNER

For all those who fancy a traditional Belgian evening: on 10 April Bob is preparing a delicious Carbonades Flamandes / Stoofvlees Dinner! Add to this a refreshing Belgian beer in your hand and some Belgian tunes in your ears, and you will just feel as if you were in your favourite pub back in Belgium...

MONTHLY GET-TO-GETHER

The next Get2Gethers will move again from DET-5 to the Sathorn-Silom area.
Purpose is the same though: gather, have a chat and a drink, and celebrate the beginning of another fantastic weekend!

Now it's merely an idea, but it's materializing into a concrete plan: a real BCT Bowling! We are working out the details, but get ready on Saturday 12 June!

MEMBERS GET MEMBERS

Our events are successful:

More than 20 members in average to our monthly Get2Gether;
More than 100 participants to the Saint Nicolas' event; and
More than 60 members both to our dinner on the Chao Praya River and "Mussels & Frites".

We can do better and you can help us.

OTHER ACTIVITIES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS BY OTHERS

This year again, Bangkok Sings in Det-5! Exact date is not yet known, but tentatively mark Saturday 29 May - 7.00pm in your diaries! More details will follow!

BCT MEMBERSHIP

The annual membership fee is a mere 500 baht per family. The BCT year runs from 1 September till 31 August. You can register at any BCT activity by completing the membership form available with any of the BCT committee members.
